Peay Vineyards

February

Peay Vineyards’ discovery was no accident. In 1995, brothers Nick and Andy Peay scoured backroads and coastal hills seeking a site that would allow them to craft wines that truly expressed a sense of place. Guided by nature’s clues—moss indicating cooling fog, soil studies, and temperature records—they journeyed from the northwest California coast to eastern Washington. Their search culminated in a remote, 53-acre hilltop in Sonoma County’s far northwest. It was far from established vineyards but perfectly suited for their vision.

In 2000, the duo expanded their team when they brought on winemaker Vanessa Wong. With a shared vision and passion, they have achieved their goal of producing unique wine deeply rooted in its land.

Peay Vineyards is committed to organic farming and sustainable practices. The site benefits from a maritime climate that extends the growing season well into November, producing wines of exceptional complexity and depth. Peay’s small-batch, handcrafted wines are known for their balanced and nuanced flavors, offering a multi-sensory experience reflecting both the land and the Peay team’s dedication to their craft.
